Brand Guidelines

Use this guide as an overview of the key elements which help to bring the Growbaby International brand to life.

Overview

The Growbaby International brand is designed to be:

  • Accessible and relatable for all types of people, regardless of faith, education, income, or background

  • Organised but not in a way that it feels rigid, legalistic or unfriendly. Simple rather than complex, navigable and informative

  • Filled with life and inspiration through the stories of real people and the impact God has used them to make

  • High-quality because the kingdom of God is the best, but not in a way that it feels out of reach for anyone

  • Kind in the way that it's put together and presented, with a focus on clear communication and a sense of welcome

Overview

Logo

The Growbaby International logo is the most recognisable aspect of the brand. 

Because the brand is not yet well-known, the logo should generally be used along with the wordmark that carries the charity's name.

There are several variations of the logo/wordmark arrangement, so the best one can be used to fit a specific situation.

Usage guidelines:

  • The vertical and horizontal ratio of the logo should not be changed, as otherwise the image will get distorted

  • The colours of the logo and the wordmark should not be changed to any colours other than the approved combinations above

  • Local Growbaby groups may create their own versions of the logos above using the template in this Logo Guide

Logo

Colour

The use of colour in the Growbaby International brand reflects the vibrancy and inclusivity of the organisation. This is underpinned by calmness and growth, shown through the use of shades of green.

Observatory Teal

Hex: #038C7F

RGB: (3, 140, 127)

Observatory Teal is a primary brand colour and is the most prominent colour in the logo. It can be used as a font or button colour on a white background, or as a background itself. It represents growth and calm.

Electric Violet

Hex: #9305F2

RGB: (147, 5, 242)

Electric Violet is a primary brand colour and features in the logo. It should be used sparingly as it can be overwhelming in large quantities. On the website, it is used to show interaction in links and buttons.

Lochmara Blue

Hex: #0487D9

RGB: (4, 135, 217)

Lochmara Blue is a primary brand colour and features in the logo. It is used sparingly on the website, mainly to highlight particular pieces of content or as an accent colour for graphics or icons.

Amber

Hex: #FFC000

RGB: (255, 192, 0)

Amber is a primary brand colour and features in the logo. It is used sparingly on the website, mainly to highlight particular pieces of content or as an accent colour for graphics or icons.

Coral

Hex: #FF804C

RGB: (255, 128, 76)

Coral is a primary brand colour and features in the logo. It is used sparingly on the website, mainly to highlight particular pieces of content or as an accent colour for graphics or icons.

Pomegranate

Hex: #F23030

RGB: (242, 48, 48)

Pomegranate is a primary brand colour and features in the logo. It is used sparingly on the website, mainly to highlight particular pieces of content or as an accent colour for graphics or icons, or for error messages.

Swans Down

Hex: #D9EEEC

RGB: (217, 238, 236)

Swans Down is a secondary colour and is used mainly as a background on the website and in branding materials, to provide a subtle but noticeable contrast with White and Observatory Teal backgrounds.

White

Hex: #FFFFFF

RGB: (255, 255, 255)

White is a secondary colour and is used mainly as a neutral background on the website and in branding, or for typography, iconography and graphic elements on Observatory Teal or Black backgrounds.

Black

Hex: #000000

RGB: (0, 0, 0)

Off-black is a secondary colour and is mainly used for typography on White, Swans Down or other light backgrounds. It can also be a background when Observatory Teal isn't suitable, such as the website footer.

The Growbaby International brand consists of 2 fonts: Nunito and Nunito Sans - available for download from Google Fonts.

Nunito

Nunito is a balanced and legible sans serif font, with friendly rounded edges. It is used in the logo and for H1, H2, and H3 headings.

Nunito Sans

Nunito Sans is part of the Nunito family, but it has straight edges rather than rounded ones. It's used for P1 and P2 paragraph text.

Across the website, a standard set of Font Styles are used, which can be replicated in any future digital or print materials. The sizes of each font style are shown based on the size for Desktop/Mobile.

H1 Header - Nunito Extra Bold, 35px/26px

P1 Paragraph - Nunito Sans Regular, 22px/20px

Typography

Imagery

The Growbaby International brand is supported mainly through photography, as well as some illustrated iconography.

Photography guidelines:

The Growbaby International brand is supported by photos that have been sourced from across the entire Growbaby network.

Where possible, these are high-quality photos, but it is more about the heart of the photo and giving people something to connect with.

Illustration guidelines:

The Growbaby International brand uses mono-colour line illustrations, usually on colourful backgrounds.

All illustrations on the website were created by Bekah Grace at Goosio Creative, who produced the Growbaby International logo.
