The Nest Project in Bath ran a Christmas Box appeal, asking for donations of a filled box or gift bag for various age groups with a mix of practical and treat items...a bit like a stocking. Families in Bath love getting involved and especially love including their children as a brilliant lesson in giving to others. These gifts go out via local agencies and charities who are working with the most vulnerable families in our community. This year we gave out over 350 Christmas boxes. We are privileged to be the hands and feet of Jesus at what can be a difficult time of year for many.
We have given these out families such as single mums struggling to afford presents for their children, children who were taken into emergency foster care just before Christmas, and asylum seekers just entering the UK with no belongings.
